Bagster versus 15 Yard Dumpster
Here at snap junk removal I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called out to a job where the customer had bought a bagster thinking it would be enough and then overfilled it and had to call somebody else out. I think a picture is worth a thousand words so check out the two pictures above to see just how little The Bagster really is. These are photos of our 15 yard trailer dumpsters with a Bagster inside.
Bagsters are supposed to be able to hold 3 cubic yards, but I’m not sure if that’s totally realistic. Technically our trailers hold 5 times more cubic yards in a Bagster. You can rent one of these trailers for $400 plus tax ($433 after tax) on the northwest Houston Spring Cypress Woodlands Magnolia areas. Comparatively, a bagster will end up costing you about $172 after all is said and done ($30 bag plus $131 pickup fee plus $10.81 in taxes as of March 2017). To put that in perspective, you might be lucky if you can fit one single couch in a Bagster, and you will be paying $172 to have it removed, and only if their truck can reach it and there are no obstructions such as trees or power lines in the way. Lets talk a little about what their rules are and why it may be better for you to just call Snap Junk Removal instead.
Ease of access:
Sure the Bagster thingy is easy. You just pick it up from the big box hardware store and the garbage guys will just grab it and go.Or is it? In order for them to pick it up, you have to place the bag in an area they can reach with their forklifts on their truck. That means, if you have heavy stuff, the bag will take up a big space in your yard or in front of your house. Who really wants to lug everything all the way from where your project is located all the way to the front of the yard? Imagine if you were working with heavy tile or deck boards or shingles. What if it was 98 degrees with 85% humidity? And its almost impossible to drag the bag once it is full.Snap Junk Removal has two options for you: Have someone else come haul it for you or Rent a dumpster trailer which stays out of your grass. -Our full service junk hauler guys will come to your home within your schedule and grab all the stuff where it sits then load it in the truck. Convenience:
The big green bag only holds 4ft x 8ft x 2.5ft and costs you twice. Then you have to lug everything across the yard to the front to place your things into the bag. Then if your stuff sticks out, they won’t take it, so you have to cut everything up or smush like crazy. Then, call the big corporate hotline & they will get to you when its most convenient to them, not you.
Snap Junk Removal can usually come the same day or the next day. We do all the lifting & loading for you or we can conveniently place our dumpster in your driveway so you can fill it yourself. Our trailers are 12ft x 8ft x 4ft tall & hold upto 15 cubic yards & upto 5,000lbs. With our full service, the price is prorated so if the trailer isn’t full, we don’t charge you full price. Price-wise, the bagster is cheaper in some ways. Its rates vary depending on the time of year & where you’re located. But they already have you invested with the purchase from the hardware store. What if you have too much stuff or if it doesn’t fit? You just possibly wasted money on something you can’t use. Then, once you finally fill it and call them, they charge you even more money & give you instructions AFTER you’ve possibly filled it & have to move it or reorient the contents. Then you may have to wait as long as 6 business days for them to come.

We charge $35 per cubic yard for full service junk hauling. Our dumpsters require a valid picture id and credit card at time of rental delivery.
